Directions:
Drive on Highway 74 out of Hemet to almost 4 miles past the junction of Mountain Center and Highway 243, or drive 32 miles south on Highway 74 from Highway 111 in Palm Desert. Turn right on Apple Canyon Road (3. miles east of Mountain Center). At nearly 3 miles, you will see the sign for the Spitler Peak Trail on the road’s right shoulder. Park here and begin the climb to the peak.
