The dog-friendly Thylenanti Trail to Malaka Trail is a 1.7-mile loop at Pena Adobe/Lagoon Valley Park just off Interstate 80 between Vacaville and Fairfield. This moderately difficult hike offers gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding areas and is a lovely trail for a hike with your dog.
The trail is hilly at times and takes you through the redwoods at John Hume Grove. Dogs need to be leashed on the trail, and there is a parking fee. Mountain bikers also use this trail, so keep your dog close and follow leash laws.
