Since 1992, Valley Animal Center has worked tirelessly to help combat the pet overpopulation crisis in the Central Valley. They are a nonprofit no-kill dog and cat adoption center, low cost spay, neuter and vaccination clinic as well as a humane education provider.
Valley Animal Center is also home to Dr. James W. Thornton Dog Park.
The membership-based 1.5 acre park features a 2,000 gallon canine wading pool complete with water jets, an agility course play area, and grassy land with trees divided into several spacious dog runs based on canine size.
