The dog-friendly Whitney Oak Trails wind through the Whitney Oaks and Springfield development in Rocklin. With just over 3 miles of trails, hikers will enjoy views of the Sierra Foothills, the golf course, grasslands and mature oak trees.
The trails are within 215 acres of a common area which is maintained by Whitney Oaks Community Association (WOCA) and have smooth walking surfaces, some are asphalt, and others are decomposed granite. There are some steep parts on the trails that may be challenging for some.
Dogs must remain on leashes on the trails, and rattlesnakes are known to be on the property.
