Dogs Run Free is 1.7 fully-fenced acres of beautiful ponderosa pines and scrub oaks, and includes 10 benches for people socializing, too. There is water available in both areas (the large area and the small/shy dog area) and lots of pick-up baggies and garbage cans available for waste control.
The non-profit that maintains Dogs Run Free built a pool pad and dedicated water hydrant for doggy pools, a very popular enhancement for both the safety and fun of running dogs during the heat of the summer. Open sun-up to sundown, daily, to the general public. No charge (donation drop box in front of shed), run by local non-profit Dogs Run Free of Nevada County (no public funds). Rules are posted around the park, please read and follow.
