Join California Pit Bull Rescue for a special pack walk to commemorate National Pit Bull Awareness Day and celebrate Halloween!

“The National Pit Bull Awareness Campaign is a nationwide effort to bring positive awareness and attention to the American Pit Bull Terrier. The heart of the campaign is National Pit Bull Awareness Day (NPBAD). NPBAD is an opportunity to be a positive role model for responsible dog ownership, as well as show that a grouping of dogs commonly referred to as “pit bulls” right in your own town.”

California Pit Bull Rescue will be walking at one of its most popular pack walk locations – Lake Merritt in Oakland.

Meeting Spot

Corner of El Embarcadero and Lakeshore Blvd. If you need an address to map it, you can use the Cafe Lakeview address (right across the street): 2834 Lakeshore Ave, Oakland, CA 94610. Parking isn’t great, so plan to come early to look for parking and check out the lot underneath 580 Freeway. Walk begins by 9:15 am sharp!

Some adoptable dogs will be in attendance and all breeds are welcome! Use these walks to socialize your dogs, ask the trainer questions, or even scope out a new friend for your existing pup. New merchandise will be for sale as well!

Please be respectful of other dogs’ space and ask before you let your dog greet another dog. Remember to bring poop bags and water for you and your pups!

There is a fee for this pack walk, as it is our annual pack walk fundraiser! There is a $20 suggested donation for this walk (although we will not turn anyone away) and if you purchase your ticket in advance, you’ll be entered in a drawing to receive one of several prizes.
