Mission: South County Animal Rescue was established to provide rescue and assistance for domestic animals. Its goal is to significantly reduce the homeless population of domestic animals in South County through safe rescue and adoption services, awareness and education.
What they do: Increase access to low cost spay and neuter services for South County residents (fixing our pets is the solution to the overpopulation of unwanted cats & dogs). Volunteers foster animals while they curate adoption placements. Volunteers trap, neuter and release (TNR) feral and community cats. Their team manages TAILS, a canine training academy in partnership with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
