Put your arm around your pooch and savor the fresh air, food and valley views to be enjoyed from Sacramento RiverTrain’s dog-friendly open-air cars. Three-hour, themed daytime trips feature wine or beer tastings, picnics, “great train robberies,” pumpkin-patch visits and other activities that vary by season.
While fares for human passengers vary according to trip, dog tickets are priced at a bare-bones $10. The RiverTrain boards in West Sacramento and rolls 28 miles to Woodland.
