Yes, Tenaya at Yosemite is a terrific destination for those looking to travel with their dog. In the Sierra Mountains, you’ll find a variety of places to explore and activities to enjoy, along with one-of-a-kind, pet-friendly lodging.

Go snowshoeing with your BFF

One of the very best ways to power through deep snow is on a sturdy pair of snowshoes. It’s also a terrific cardiovascular activity and one that most dogs will really enjoy.

At Tenaya at Yosemite, you can snowshoe around the property in the surrounding Sierra National Forest. Grab a pair of snowshoes and take your pup out into the woods to experience winter in Yosemite at its finest. You’ll both be glad you did.

A pair of dog-friendly winter hikes

At 3.5 miles long, Wawona Meadow Loop Trail is an excellent, dog-friendly trail. Wandering off in one of Yosemite’s largest meadows is a good way to get your steps in during winter.

If there isn’t too much snow, Mirror Lake Trail is another good one for canines, who are allowed on the first mile of the trail. The terrific views of Mirror Lake’s placid waters offer a treat for both you and your sidekick. Check-in with the Tenaya Lodge concierge for more information, snow levels and to reserve your favorite activities.
