Meet Legs, a sweet, active young thing who's looking for someone to share a fun life with. Descended from border collies and Ibizan hounds, she has beauty (those ears!), brains, and a strong work ethic, so she needs good outlets for all that energy—and a fenced yard. Besides a human BFF, the friendly and affectionate Legs would probably love a dog buddy to play and hang out with.
Legs currently resides at the Humane Society of Tuolumne County (HSOTC), where the dogs and cats have a safe haven for as long as it takes for their perfect forever home to come along—which may be a few days, or a few months. Besides caring for temporarily homeless animals, the HSOTC works to keep the number of strays and abandoned critters down with several low-cost spay/neuter programs, along with humane education programs to help people become more responsible pet owners.
Coming up on Sunday, April 28, 2013 is the HSOTC's annual fundraising Mardi Gras Meowness Spring Champagne Lunch, at the Sonora Elks Lodge from noon to 3 p.m. More than just great food, the event offers vendors with lots of products for your best friend, both live and silent auctions, a raffle, and live music by the Rod Harris Quartet. Mark your calendars.
