Attention, pup-culture fans: The Little River Inn will host the first-ever Pup Palooza on Saturday, April 26. DogTrekker is proud to support this canine-centered celebration that brings contests, activities, demonstrations, treats and more to the Mendocino coast. Your Pup Palooza participation benefits the Mendocino Coast Humane Society.
The family-friendly fun welcomes all dogs and is free for locals and visitors. As part of a special lodging package, competition entry costs will be waived for overnight guests of the Little River Inn. Simply use code PAWS25 when booking for the weekend of April 25. You can also call 888-INN-LOVE for more information.

Unleash the fun
Pup Palooza presents exciting activities between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Take your furry artist to the dog painting station. Chat with a pet communicator. Watch agility and rescue demos. Meet potential four-legged family members available for adoption. Stroll the dog walk area and pause for nail trimming. Participate in spirited competitions, including best dressed, most talented, top frisbee jump, and owner & dog look-a-like.
Some lucky dogs will win raffle prizes, and DJ music keeps tails wagging all day long. Food vendors look forward to dishing up dog treats, while people can pair great food with local pours at the Wine (Not Whine!) & Wag table.

Relax at the Little River Inn
Pup Palooza takes place at the Little River Inn, a family-owned favorite in spectacular Mendocino County. Guests staying overnight for the April event pay no competition entry fee, and they’ll enjoy four-paw amenities like access to on-leash trails with bins and bags. Many pet-friendly rooms and cottages offer fetching Pacific views, and dogs can dine on the resort’s garden terrace with a reservation. Fireplaces, hot tubs, family activities, stargazing kits and other thoughtful touches make a stay extra special.

Playtime with a purpose
Pup Palooza benefits the Mendocino Coast Humane Society (MCHS). Community members started this small-but-mighty organization to rescue homeless animals from euthanasia and find them permanent, loving homes. The MCHS Adoption Center will soon celebrate 25 years, and the Fort Bragg nonprofit also provides spay/neuter services, medical care, enrichment activities and educational outreach. MCHS houses about 30 dogs and 65 cats a month, with donations covering 50% of the costs. Don’t miss your chance to contribute during Pup Palooza 2025.
