A vibrant dog park bathed in sunlight features abundant greenery with mature trees, offering ample shade for leisurely outdoor activities. In the distance is a well-equipped playground that presents an additional activity area. An inviting picnic table spreads out nearby, ideal for enjoying meals al fresco or taking relaxing breaks from play. A neatly-placed trash bin aids in maintaining the park's cleanliness for everyone's enjoyment. Dominating the scene is a generously wide dirt path gracefully curving through the expanse of grass, promising exploratory walks and lively fetch games.

Immerse yourself in the community by planning a group or personal trip around a major happening. Redding’s annual calendar is filled with an eclectic line up of events, festivals and competitions. Think Redding Rodeo (May 13-17) and Shasta District Fair (June 18-22). While not all events are pet-friendly, you can always experience the buzz and ancillary happenings in town.

First Fridays is a monthly downtown event held on the first Friday of the month when stores stay open later, live music fills the air and locals sip, shop and sup from 5 to 8 p.m. Get your fill of fruits, veggies and baked goods at the Redding Farmers Market held every Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m (dogs must stay outside the perimeter of the market).

Glowing Wild (April 4-June 8) is a temporary light installation coming to the botanical gardens at Turtle Bay Exploration Park. Every year, car lovers beeline to Kool April Nites (April 18-27, 2025) to admire classic cars. Discover artisan goods and enjoy live music at Shasta Celtic Arts & Crafts Fair (May 3-4) in Caldwell Park. Paddlers come out for the Lake Redding Regatta (August 16-17). The Redding Roots Revival (September 26-27) is a two-day live music festival set in multiple venues throughout downtown Redding.
