While the Tri-Valley region is within commuting distance of millions of Bay Area and Sacramento residents, those coming for special events often prefer to spend the night. The Best Western Plus Danville Sycamore Inn is a favorite with DogTrekkers for its finely appointed rooms; its reasonable, $15 dog fee; and its proximity to picturesque downtown Danville. As a bonus, it’s located within walking distance of the Iron Horse Regional Trail.
In Pleasanton, Hilton Pleasanton at the Club, at the junction of Interstates 680 and 580, is particularly well situated for visitors to Livermore Valley Wine Country, while Larkspur Landing Pleasanton is an all-suite hotel offering, among many other amenities, fully equipped kitchens and complimentary laundry facilities.
The Marriott San Ramon is another dog-friendly choice, although its non-refundable, $100 cleaning fee may be too stiff for DogTrekkers on a one-night stand. On a budget? Tri Valley Inn & Suites near downtown Pleasanton may not have the latest in 500-count, Egyptian cotton dog beds, but it’s clean, friendly, has a $67 average daily rate and charges just $10 a night extra for canine companions. Gotta say “Woof!” to that!
In addition to this range full range of dog-friendly accommodations, you also have your choice of several more that we list in the Tri-Valley lodging section:
