What’s a little wet fur among friends? With the crowds gone and only a few weeks left before the rainy season sets in, the romantic Russian River region beckons. Russian River Adventures‘ inflatable canoes are as much fun for your dog as for you, and rentals are available as long as the weather holds, usually through the end of October (but do make a reservation). After you’ve shuttled back to your car and worked up an appetite, dry off and chow down on the canine-friendly patios at Barndiva or Willi’s Seafood & Raw Bar in hip and happening downtown Healdsburg.
