Sacramento SPCA 2018

Cute brown and white dog at the Sacramento SPCA

Meet Princess Bella, a smiling, wagging, snuggling hunk of doggie love.  At 5 years old, this Staffie-mix girl is happy and talkative, and wants to be part of whatever you're up to. She's gotten along fine with other dogs in her previous home; she's a little too interested in cats, so she'll probably do best in a feline-free zone. Being large, she seeks a home where the humans are big enough not to be overwhelmed by her enthusiasm. Bonus if you're a senior: Being 5 years old, Princess Bella has her adoption fees waived for adopters 65 and up!

Princess Bella is just one of the many dogs (and other species) who have found a safe haven at the Sacramento SPCA when things weren't going so well in their earlier lives. Since 1894, Sacramento SPCA's programs and services have been an invaluable resource for the area's pets, their caregivers, and the community.

On April 28 it's time to celebrate all that, as the beloved Doggy Dash celebrates its 25th anniversary of fun and fundraising. You and your canine companion can choose the 2K walk, the 5K walk, or just pick a good spot to cheer on the walkers. Then there's an all-day Bark in the Park festival, with cool activities, contests, vendors and more. It's a great time, and all funds raised go to provide medical care to sick or injured animals, low-cost vaccinations, spay/neuter services for the local community, behavior training, humane education programs and much more! Registration now open.
