A vibrant dog park bathed in sunlight features abundant greenery with mature trees, offering ample shade for leisurely outdoor activities. In the distance is a well-equipped playground that presents an additional activity area. An inviting picnic table spreads out nearby, ideal for enjoying meals al fresco or taking relaxing breaks from play. A neatly-placed trash bin aids in maintaining the park's cleanliness for everyone's enjoyment. Dominating the scene is a generously wide dirt path gracefully curving through the expanse of grass, promising exploratory walks and lively fetch games.

This summer, discover the Redwood Route in an exciting new way. The Skunk Train’s two-seater railbikes and convenient dog trailers provide an open-air, hands-free pedaling experience with an electric-assist motor option. Each custom-built, four-wheeled vehicle follows existing tracks across historic trestle bridges, along rocky creeks and through pristine redwood forests.

Railbike tours depart from the Skunk Train depot in downtown Fort Bragg. You’ll cruise from the coast to Glen Blair Junction, where there’s free time to have a picnic lunch or hike redwood-lined trails before returning to town. Along the way, a guide discusses local natural and historical highlights.

The round-trip journey takes about two hours. An electric motor on each railbike lets you pedal as little or as much as you’d like. There’s also no steering required, so you can easily snap photos or simply sit back and appreciate grand views and fresh breezes.
