Join the Sacramento SPCA’s 30th annual Doggy Dash at William Land Park on Saturday, April 22, 2023! Dog-gone fun festivities include a 2k/5k dog walk and the popular Bark in the Park Pet Festival—complete with food, drinks, games, demos, prizes, chances to meet adoptable dogs, and much more.
Your Doggy Dash registration and participation help the Sacramento SPCA provide direct care to more than 35,000 animals in the community each year. Funds raised at this annual event provide medical care to sick and injured animals, plus low-cost vaccinations and spay/neuter services, behavior training, and humane education.

After the festival, Visit Sacramento invites you and your pup to sample local restaurants and play, eat and stay at the city’s dog-passionate hotels. Sacramento and its Big Backyard is so dog-gone dog-friendly that you will indeed want to stay an extra day or three. Many Sacramento restaurants roll out the red carpet for pups and their people, offering comfortable patios and delightful amenities for four-legged guests. Scott’s on the River, not far from the Doggy Dash festivities, is a DogTrekker favorite with outdoor seating. Other options include Selland’s Market Cafe, Meet & Eat, Tower Cafe, Drake’s: The Barn, and Urban Roots Brewing.

The Westin Sacramento is just minutes from William Land Park and the 30th anniversary Doggy Dash celebration. It’s set on the river, right next to Scott’s on the River. Capitol Park, a 40-acre urban preserve surrounding the Capitol building, is a great place to explore while in Sacramento.
