Yo! Yosemite calls you and your dog

By: DogTrekker Staff
A vibrant dog park bathed in sunlight features abundant greenery with mature trees, offering ample shade for leisurely outdoor activities. In the distance is a well-equipped playground that presents an additional activity area. An inviting picnic table spreads out nearby, ideal for enjoying meals al fresco or taking relaxing breaks from play. A neatly-placed trash bin aids in maintaining the park's cleanliness for everyone's enjoyment. Dominating the scene is a generously wide dirt path gracefully curving through the expanse of grass, promising exploratory walks and lively fetch games.

Yosemite is now open, as are the 50 new two-bedroom Tenaya Lodge Explorer Cabins that opened in 2019. Tenaya Lodge, a luxury establishment in Fish Camp, just two miles outside the park’s southern (Wawona, Highway 41) entrance, has long been a DogTrekker favorite. The dog-friendly Explorer Cabins are scattered over 27 forested acres walking distance from Tenaya Lodge, Jackalopes Bar & Grill and activities, including hiking. Book direct and save.

Each Cabin has a living room and private deck plus access to the Explorer Clubhouse (July opening) and other resort amenities. Pet packages for DogTrekkers offer a long list of tail-wagging amenities, including a pet bed and a boarding kennel for times you may need to leave Fido behind to visit Accent Spa or head into the park.

Don’t worry if you can’t get a pass to enter Yosemite National Park (required through September 30). With so much available right on the premises, plus lots more to explore nearby, you and your pup will have a great time staying and playing nearby.
