The Judge Davis Trail is about 10 miles round trip to Cache Creek with a total elevation gain of 1,2800 feet with the option of extending your hike by about 6 miles to reach the Red Bud Trailhead. 

This trail is open to hiking, equestrian riding, mountain biking outside of the wilderness boundary and hunting.

No water is available and restroom facilities at the trailhead are currently out of order.

From Clearlake Oaks, CA drive about 17 miles east of Highway 20 to the trailhead on your right. From Williams, CA drive about 21.5 miles west on Highway 20 to mile marker 40.67, trail head will be on your left.

Close to a dozen communities sit on or near the shores of Clear Lake. While it would take days to explore them all, we can suggest a few highlights in Lakeport, Kelseyville, Clearlake and Upper Lake. Start in Lakeport, on the lake’s northwest shore, travel counter-clockwise and make time for meals, wineries, brew pubs and other places you can enjoy with your canine companion. more »
