Dogs are sentient beings too! Land of Medicine Buddha provides 3 dog friendly rooms. They welcome dogs during retreats provided:
There is someone who is not participating in the retreat who is available to watch the dog during the day. (Dogs are not to be left alone in rooms.)
• There is a 2 dog limit per room.
• Dogs cannot be larger than 50 pounds.
• There is a $50 non-refundable deposit per dog.

The hills surrounding Land of Medicine Buddha are covered with beautiful groves of redwoods, lush ferns, seasonal flowers, the sound of gentle water trickling in the creek below and the occasional sightings of deer and other indigenous animals that call Land of Medicine Buddha home.
The Eight Verses Pilgrimage Loop is complete with signs comprised of teachings on transforming problems into spiritual practice and benches for contemplation and meditation.
Both the lower and upper areas of the property have many holy objects, including prayer wheels to spin (clockwise), bells to ring (softly), temples to look at and circumambulate (walk around).
Please note that this is NOT an entrance to the state park. The entrance to Nisene Marks State Park is at Aptos Creek Fire Rd, Aptos, CA 95003.
