Vineyard views & wine-loving woofs

By: DogTrekker Staff
A vibrant dog park bathed in sunlight features abundant greenery with mature trees, offering ample shade for leisurely outdoor activities. In the distance is a well-equipped playground that presents an additional activity area. An inviting picnic table spreads out nearby, ideal for enjoying meals al fresco or taking relaxing breaks from play. A neatly-placed trash bin aids in maintaining the park's cleanliness for everyone's enjoyment. Dominating the scene is a generously wide dirt path gracefully curving through the expanse of grass, promising exploratory walks and lively fetch games.

Prefer a wine glass to a canteen? Glamping in California’s wine regions combines the best of both worlds—nature lodging with easy access to wineries and tasting rooms. Many wineries are dog-friendly and offer treats, water bowls, and even vineyard tours where leashed pets are welcome.

Sites offer perks like outdoor showers, fire pits, and access to nearby hiking trails. Pack a picnic, leash up your pup, and discover a delicious new vintage of dog-friendly travel.

These wine country glampsites are a few of our Fido-friendly faves:

Why we love it: Wake up in spacious safari tents and light-filled cabins set along the Russian River with vineyard views, cozy beds, heated blankets, and private fire pits. Guests get private river access and can also take advantage of live music, yoga, and other activities on Wildhaven’s property. Nearby, wineries welcome four-legged visitors, making this a perfect wine-and-wag escape.

Cava Robles RV Resort, Paso Robles (SLO CAL)
