The best day to be a dog
Get ready for a tail-wagging good time. On Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Bark in the Park returns to William Street Park in downtown San José. This beloved festival has grown into one of the largest dog celebrations in the country, drawing thousands of pups and their people for a day of fun, laughter, and four-legged joy.
A full day of pawsome activities
The schedule is packed with entertainment for every member of the family. Throughout the day, you’ll see canine skills demonstrations such as fly ball, sheep herding, agility, training, and even search and rescue. Crowds always gather for the contests, including the popular dog costume competition, the pet-and-owner look-alike challenge, and the happy tail-wagging contest. Younger visitors can head to the Kids’ Entertainment Zone, where the DIY agility course, bounce house, and hands-on workshops keep the fun rolling.
A community celebration of joy
Food and drink from local restaurants and community groups make it easy to refuel while browsing the vendor booths filled with dog-focused goods and services. From tasty snacks to new toys and training tips, the festival is a one-stop shop for dog lovers. With something for everyone—whether on two legs or four—Bark in the Park promises a day to celebrate the bond between people and their pets. Money raised from Bark in the Park benefits local community and pet-focused organizations including Humane Society Silicon Valley, San Jose Animal Care Center, and PAWS4SJACS and the Campus Community Neighborhood Association.
