Out of over 2,100 professionals nominated throughout the country, DogTrekker’s very own Vet Buzz contributor Dr. Erin Troy, DVM, CCRP, of Muller Veterinary Hospital in Walnut Creek, was a finalist in American Veterinary Medical Foundation’s Favorite Veterinarian Contest.
“We came in 5th out of the top 20 which came from a pool of thousands and I
am so grateful to all of the support”, said Troy. “We had a great time with the process!”
Clients and co-workers are encouraged to recommend the veterinarian whom they consider outstanding in some way—be it that the veterinarian is a good listener, is heavily involved in the community, or is someone who has made a difference in their lives.
“My passion for veterinary medicine stems from the diversity of what we do and who we serve”, says Troy. “Even the most challenging day can be eased by looking into the eyes of a pet that we have helped and see the silent appreciation and trust.”
This is a contest created by The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) which is the charitable arm of the America Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). For 50 years, the AVMF has been dedicated to embracing and advancing the well-being and medical care of animals. Charitable contributions and support to the Foundation help veterinarians help animals. The AVMF, a two-time, four-star rated nonprofit by Charity Navigator, has awarded more than $50 Million in grants since it began in 1963.
Way to Go, Dr. Troy!
