Hellyer County Park is located in south San Jose, has set aside two acres inside the park as an off-leash area for dogs. This designated "dog park" can be found at the northeast end or Hellyer Park, near the Shadowbluff group area.
This two-acre area is enclosed with a six-foot fence. Benches, shade trees, a lawn, and a drinking fountain are available. Use of the area is free, but a vehicle entrance fee is collected when you enter the park. The dog park is open every day but Wednesday.
