Rip Van Winkle Open Space Dog Area

Rip Van Winkle Open Space Dog Area

A narrow ribbon of open space, Lynn "Rip" Van Winkle Open Space is approximately 2,200 feet long and 400 feet wide. Located between Sunset Drive and Forest Lodge Road along Congress Avenue, the terrain is rugged, wild, and is heavily forested with Monterey Cypress, Monterey pine, and coast live oak. Joggers and walkers extensively use the park, as do people who want to exercise their dogs off-leash.

The Open Space borders Pebble Beach, offering pedestrian access to 17-Mile Drive.

Dogs are welcome on or off leash at this park. Please pick up after your dogs.
