Dog at Peace of Mind Dog Rescue

Technically, Treeing Walker Coonhounds are not lap dogs, but Cinnamon here was an exception, she loves laps.

Like quite a few dogs, mostly seniors, who find themselves unexpectedly homeless, Cinnamon was taken in by the good folks at Peace of Mind Dog Rescue in Pacific Grove, who, for the last 10 years, have been serving as a life-changing resource for senior people and a life-saving one for senior dogs.  Peace of Mind offers a variety of programs, including resources to help seniors keep their dogs as long as possible, like financial assistance with vet bills and caregiving for the dog when their person is hospitalized or incapacitated. Also, addressing one of the more pressing what-ifs in every dog lover’s life, POMDR’s Perpetual Care program ensures that in the event of your death, your dog will be well cared for in a foster home or a new adoptive home, for life.

Also in foster homes are elderly dogs like Cinnamon, who landed in a shelter and was quickly taken in by POMDR. She’s enjoying life in her foster home and looking forward to spending her golden years sharing the love with her new family. Get in touch!
