Hope S. and her dog Dreyfus take a mini vacation to Lake Tahoe and write in to tell us all about their dog-friendly adventures:

Hope and Dreyfus at Emerald Bay
In a short but sweet 24 hours, my dog Dreyfus and I got to see Emerald Bay in the late afternoon sun and then spend the night at the cozy dog-friendly Beach Retreat & Lodge nestled at the foot of the mountains on the shores of the Lake.

Dreyfus gets cozy at the Beach Retreat & Lodge

Stunning view of the lake
The inviting pier on the property beckoned us to walk out and take in the breathtaking panoramic views that make Lake Tahoe so legendary.

Dreyfus stays warm by the fire at the Beach Retreat Lodge.
We finished the evening with a fabulous meal complete with a live saxophonist at the hotel’s own Boathouse on the Pier, followed by a relaxing warm-up next to the fire pit in the courtyard.
