Dusty Paws Rescue in Castro Valley is an all-volunteer organization that rescues animals in need and keeps them in foster homes, where they experience loving care and a nurturing home environment until their forever families come along. Particularly for dogs who need a little extra attention or medical treatment while they're waiting, this can make a life-saving difference, and since 2007 dozens of dogs are now living happily ever after thanks to Dusty Paws volunteers giving them a safe place to land.
One such candidate is Sherman, who's currently in foster care after several months in the Oakland shelter. This affectionate little guy gets along well with his canine and human foster siblings, is housebroken and crate trained, and loves kids. His ideal home is a calm setting with adults and possibly older children.
