Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue 2017

By: DogTrekker Staff
A vibrant dog park bathed in sunlight features abundant greenery with mature trees, offering ample shade for leisurely outdoor activities. In the distance is a well-equipped playground that presents an additional activity area. An inviting picnic table spreads out nearby, ideal for enjoying meals al fresco or taking relaxing breaks from play. A neatly-placed trash bin aids in maintaining the park's cleanliness for everyone's enjoyment. Dominating the scene is a generously wide dirt path gracefully curving through the expanse of grass, promising exploratory walks and lively fetch games.

Meet Bandit. He's 12. Or maybe 13. But you'd never know it. He's remarkably healthy, happy, playful, and good-natured, with no health issues other than slightly creaky hips. He loves car rides. He loves fetch. He loves walks. His manners are excellent. Other dogs fine. He is, in short, a real gem and the perfect companion for your DogTreks. (Read all about him on Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue's Labs Available page.)

GLRR took Bandit in after he was left homeless by his owner's death, and quickly got him into a foster home. He's just one of the hundreds of lucky Labs GGLRR has brought to safety, fixed their medical issues, and found them new families—as well as sharing the Lab love at frequent meet-and-greet adoption events around the Bay. It's what they have done for the last 30 years.

At the San Francisco Presidio's Golden Gate Club on June 3, GGLRR hosts its annual fundraiser gala to help it keep helping dogs like Bandit when they're in need.  Food! Drink! Entertainment!  Also some amazing items in the live and silent auctions—and raffle prizes too. You don't want to miss this—and think of all those Labs who'll be grateful.

Meanwhile, Bandit's in Antioch and can't wait to meet you. Email his Rescue Rep to get things set up.
