Wherever Chavo came from, he was much loved and knows how to be a good dog. That’s the report from his foster parents at Pets Lifeline in Sonoma, who took in this little 3-year-old Chi guy from the Sacramento area in his hour of need.

His fosters call him “fun, friendly and energetic.” Also smart and affectionate. Chavo loves everybody—especially men—and never met a stranger. He’s good with kids. He’s good with seniors. He likes to play a lot with squeaky toys and then settle down for a nap on your lap—and, at 13 pounds, he’s just the right size for it.

He’ll bark when the occasion calls for it, but doesn’t overdo it—he’s not one for annoying yapping. His house training is excellent. He takes his watchdog responsibilities quite seriously, and loves going out for walks and exploration.

Chavo isn’t fond of other dogs or cats, but loves all people.

He is, in short, a pretty perfect little companion waiting to move into your home and heart. The good folks at Pets Lifeline, who have been stepping up for critters in need for some time now, are taking great care of him while he waits for his furever home.
