Dog-friendly California Snow Park Sites

California SNO-PARK Sites

The SNO-PARK program provides winter recreation at locations along the Sierra Nevada. Distinctive brown highway signs located along highways identify SNO-PARKs.

Each SNO-PARK provides visitors access to snow-cleared parking lots and sanitation facilities. The sites provide for self-guided activities such as cross-county skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and playing with your dogs in the snow. Snow conditions determine accessibility and opportunities available at each site. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis at all SNO-PARK sites. Park and drive carefully within SNO-PARK sites and always pack in and pack out, leaving only paw prints.

To use a SNO-PARK you must have a permit, which you can purchase online or at select vendors. Day permits are $5.00 or an annual pass (good Nov. 1 - May 30) is $25.00. An online service fee of $1.95 will be added to the price of each permit.
