Muttville senior dog rescue 2017

Last year marked some milestones (like 912 senior dogs saved in 2016!) and accolades for Muttville, as founder Sherri Franklin was named a Top 10 CNN Hero in the CNN Heroes program. Since its founding, Muttville has drastically changed the way senior dogs are treated in the shelter system—once seen as "unadoptable," they're now valued, and the ripple effects extend out into the community. Some months ago, Bear was facing death before his life had really started, through no fault of his own. At 2 1/2, the happy, healthy Great Pyrenees dog became a pawn in a domestic dispute, and one of the family members brought him to be "euthanized" to spite another. Read more.

Rocket Dog Rescue 2016

Things looked grim for young Chance. An energetic young German shepherd, he'd managed to get hit by a car, shattering his left front leg in the process. Fortunately for him, Rocket Dog Rescue swooped in and got him the medical attention he needed, and after months of recovery in his foster home, you'd never know he was ever in such dire straits.
