Dog-friendly Oakhurst
Once called Fresno Flats, Oakhurst is the largest community in the foothills of Madera County. Just 15 minutes from the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park, Oakhurst is the gateway to fun-filled outdoor adventures, including wine tasting, hiking, boating, fishing and so much more.
Bass Lake, which Sunset Magazine named as one of “The West’s Best Lakes,” is known for its watersports, hiking trails and warm waters. Also, close by, is the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad where you can ride the open-air cars through the Sierra National Forest.
Check out lodging, dining and all of the activities you will find in Oakhurst and their big backyard.
