Chandelier Drive-Thru Tree Park

Chandelier Drive-Thru Tree Park

A roadside attraction since the 1930s, the Chandelier Tree (named for its distinctive shape) is one of several in California to have had a tunnel bored through it for the express purpose of creating photo ops. Tourists have been driving into the tunnel and snapping photos ever since.

A gift shop, picnic grounds by a pond and 250 acres of wilderness laced with hiking trails makes this a delightful spot for DogTrekkers. Entry fee is $5 per vehicle. Open year-round, weather permitting.

Word of warning: Large SUVs might not fit through the tree opening. In which case you’ll just have to park next to it and snap away!
