Austin’s Restaurant in Incline Village sits right in the heart of town, and it’s one of the easier spots around Lake Tahoe to grab a meal with your dog without feeling like you’re imposing. The outdoor seating area is substantial—plenty of tables where your dog can settle in beside you while you eat, and you’ll get a real sense of the Incline Village atmosphere, especially during summer when the weather’s pleasant.
What stands out about Austin’s is that the staff actually seems to like having dogs around. When we were there, our dog got a water bowl without asking, and they brought out a treat without making a big deal about it. It’s the kind of casual friendliness that makes a difference—you don’t feel like you’re squeezing your dog into a space that tolerates pets, but rather that the restaurant genuinely welcomes them.
The menu is straightforward and covers the basics well. Burgers are solid, salads are fresh, and they do seafood if that’s what you’re after. Nothing pretentious, just reliable food at reasonable prices. The portions are generous, and the kitchen doesn’t take forever, which matters when you’re eating outside with a dog who might get restless.
The location is convenient if you’re staying nearby or exploring Incline Village. You’re close enough to walk around the village afterward, which is nice if your dog needs to burn off some energy. The restaurant itself has a relaxed, slightly worn-in feel that suits the casual dining vibe—it’s not trying to be fancy, and that works in its favor.
One thing worth knowing: the outdoor seating is weather-dependent. If it’s hot or windy, it can be less comfortable than you’d hope. And while the staff is friendly about dogs, summer weekends do get crowded, so timing matters. Your dog will be fine, but the experience flows better if you’re not squeezed in with other diners.
