Browns Valley Open Space

Browns Valley Open Space

Browns Valley Open Space provides multiple dog-friendly hiking trails and large boulders for rock climbing in Vacaville. Hikers who trek to the top of the mountain are rewarded with amazing views.

The area is used as a cow pasture, so keep dogs leashed, and watch for rattlesnakes when it’s warm. It’s best to avoid this area with your dog during foxtail season due to the large number of foxtails along the trails.

Visitors can access the trailhead from Vaca Valley Parkway across from Wrentham Drive. The city of Vacaville has also provided a new overflow parking lot at the end of Vaca Valley Parkway.
