Dog Haus

7811 Edinger Avenue, Huntington Beach, California 92647

(714) 894-4287

Dog Haus sits on Edinger Avenue near Pacific Coast Highway, with a sprawling covered patio that provides shade from the OC sun. The roof structure extends over ample seating, making it practical for diners to linger without worrying about heat exposure. The restaurant specializes in gourmet hot dogs and burgers—food that works well for patio dining, eaten quickly enough that dogs aren’t left unattended for long stretches. The patio occupies the east side of the restaurant, though afternoon sun still angles in during summer months. Huntington Central Park is a few blocks south if you want to walk before or after eating, and the location puts you close to the beach.

Dogs must stay on the patio and cannot enter the indoor dining area or ordering counter. Water bowls are available upon request from your server. There are no fees for bringing a dog, and no weight or breed restrictions apply. The menu has no dedicated dog treats, but staff will accommodate sharing a plain item with your dog. The casual atmosphere means diners generally don’t worry if a dog shifts around under a table, and the patio manages crowding well despite regular traffic.

The restaurant opens for lunch and serves through dinner, with weekend crowds heaviest between noon and two o’clock. Parking is available in the lot out front. Saturday mornings tend toward quieter patio conditions, especially during summer when families with dogs tend to fill the space during midday hours.
