Doggie Protective Services (DPS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-driven, animal rescue organization. DPS rescues dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes. Since its creation, the organization has helped over 12,000 dogs and cats find their forever homes.

DPS does not have a facility, and relies on a network of foster homes located throughout California. Anywhere from 100-200 foster homes are active at various times in some capacity, whether they are long-term, short-term or overnight fosters.

While their name may be Doggie Protective Services, they also rescue cats as well, and have a small, vibrant group of cat fosters who take in rescue cats and kittens. For cat owners requesting re-homing assistance,  DPS also assists if the owner can foster their own cat while DPS works to find a perfect forever home.
