The park closes at dusk without fail. Street parking lines the approach, and the lot near the entrance fills quickly on weekends, particularly Saturday mornings. Weekday visits, especially mid-morning or late afternoon, see lighter crowds. The sloped terrain gives dogs a workout even in the smaller area, and the grass can get muddy during wet months despite the decomposed granite sections.
