Born in Boyle Heights in December 2010, Guisados was created with a simple menu, one which reminded the creators of home and how their mom spent her afternoons. It’s that same feeling that they try to put into every bite—it’s just simply how they ate—traditional homestyle Mexican braises on handmade corn tortillas.
