This trail is a part of the Conejo Recreation & Park District, managed by the Conejo Open Space Foundation. The four-mile loop starts at the Wildwood parking lot at the west end of Avenida de Los Arboles where it meets Big Sky—easy enough to find and with decent parking. The route itself is mellow, gaining and losing about 500 feet total, which means you won’t feel like you’re climbing constantly but you will get a real walk in.

Head out on Indian Creek Trail first, following it as it winds toward Wildwood Canyon Trail. The creek runs alongside you in places, and if your dog enjoys water, there are spots to wade. When you reach Paradise Falls, you’ll see why people make the trek. The falls aren’t massive, but they’re refreshing, especially if you’re doing this on a warm day. Right above the falls there’s a picnic table tucked under an oak tree’s shade—a good spot to catch your breath and let your dog cool down for a bit.

From there, take Wildwood Canyon Trail uphill, then Fort Trail, both of which climb toward Wildflower Park. The elevation gain gets a bit more noticeable here, but nothing steep. Wildflower Park itself is a smaller area with open grass, and from there it’s just a short walk back to where you started.

Dogs need to stay on a six-foot leash the entire way and be under control. The trail gets pretty busy on weekends, especially near the falls, so keeping your dog close matters. Bring water for both of you—there’s creek water available along the route, but you’ll want fresh water for drinking. Pack out everything you pack in, including any dog waste.
