The Residence Inn San Jose Cupertino is an all-suite extended stay hotel right in the heart of Main Street Cupertino, which has become a real gathering spot for locals and visitors alike. Each suite comes with a full kitchen, which we found incredibly helpful when traveling with our dog — we could prep meals and snacks without worrying about restaurant schedules or finding dog-friendly dining options.

The location is genuinely convenient for getting around Silicon Valley. You’re minutes from Apple Park and the major tech company campuses if you’re in town for work, but also close enough to some solid recreation spots. Levi’s Stadium is nearby if you catch any games or events, and California’s Great America is just a short drive away. If you want something more low-key, Hakone Gardens and Saratoga Springs offer peaceful walks, and the Mountain Winery has those impressive Santa Cruz Mountain views if you’re looking for an evening outing.

We appreciated having easy freeway access from here — getting to different parts of the Valley was straightforward whether we were heading north toward San Francisco or south toward the beach towns. The immediate area around Main Street has good shopping and dining, so there’s variety for meals and supplies without going far.

The all-suite setup really worked well for a dog-traveling situation. Having your own kitchen means you’re not stressed about coordinating meal times with your dog’s needs, and the extra space gives your dog room to relax after a day of exploration. The extended stay model means this place is accustomed to people staying for a while, so they understand that you’ll want your space to feel comfortable and functional, not like a typical one-night hotel room. Public transportation access is solid too if you want to leave your car behind for a day and explore some of the surrounding areas on foot.
