The river itself is the main draw — kayaking, canoeing, and rafting are all popular here, and if you want a quieter day, you can fish for trout or swim. Your dog will appreciate the nature trails on the property and the general beach access along the water.

Beyond the resort, you’re positioned well for day trips. Lake Sonoma is nearby for more water-based recreation, and there’s a fish hatchery if you want something low-key. The Geysers geothermal area, Petrified Forest, and Safari West Animal Preserve are all within reasonable driving distance. If you’re feeling ambitious, San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge are doable as a long day trip.

The on-site amenities include a clubhouse, general store, laundry facilities, and all the expected hookups with a dump station. Getting here from the south means taking Highway 101 north past Cloverdale, then exiting on Geysers Road about three miles north of town and heading back south for a mile. From the north, take the Geysers Road exit roughly nine miles south of Hopland. It’s a straightforward location without any tricky navigation once you know which exit to take.
