Seven Oaks Bark Park

Seven Oaks Bark Park

Seven Oaks Bark Park

Visalia, California 93292

Seven Oaks Bark Park occupies a fenced section within Seven Oaks Park, a sprawling recreational area in east Visalia. The main feature on arrival is the generous acreage devoted entirely to off-leash play, separated into a larger area for dogs 25 pounds and up and a smaller enclosure for dogs under 25 pounds. The grounds are a mix of grass and decomposed granite, which drains well in the Central Valley heat and doesn’t turn to mud during winter watering. Shade structures and mature trees line both sections, though on peak afternoons in summer, you’ll want to bring extra water and arrive early if your dog is heat-sensitive. The terrain is flat and open, so older dogs or those with mobility issues can navigate easily.

Dogs are off-leash in their respective areas. The park requires proof of current vaccinations and a rabies license, which you can manage through the city’s parks and recreation office rather than at the gate. There’s no day-use fee specific to the bark park itself. The park is open dawn to dusk, and mornings before 10 a.m. and weekday afternoons tend to draw smaller crowds than weekend mid-days. Water bowls are available near both enclosures, but bringing your own is practical.

Seven Oaks Park also includes walking trails, picnic areas, and a pond if you want to extend your time there beyond the dog park. The location on the east side of Visalia puts it roughly ten miles from downtown, accessible via Road 192 and Mooney Boulevard. Parking is straightforward and free. Winter months work well for extended play sessions here; the park can feel empty on cold weekday mornings, which some owners prefer for anxious dogs.
