Uvas Pines RV Park sits in the rolling hills south of Morgan Hill, about thirty minutes from the Bay Area’s main highways but far enough out that you actually feel like you’ve escaped. The setting is genuinely quiet—lots of oak and pine trees, actual grass, the kind of place where you can let your dog stretch without feeling like you’re in a parking lot.

Getting there takes a bit of navigation. From Highway 101, you head east on Tennant Road, then south on Monterey Road for a couple blocks until you hit Watsonville Road. Once you turn west on Watsonville Road, it’s another 3.5 miles into what starts feeling like real countryside. The drive is worth it if you want your dog to have space and breathing room instead of being packed in with hundreds of other RVs.

The park itself caters to people traveling with dogs, which means you won’t feel like you’re the only one trying to figure out where to let your dog run around. Beyond the park, you’re close enough to wineries if you want to spend a day doing tastings while someone watches your dog, or if your dog can handle it, some places in the area allow leashed dogs on their grounds. There’s also boating opportunities nearby and golf if that’s your thing. Uvas Reservoir is in the area too, which means potential hiking and water views, depending on what trails are open and what your dog’s energy level allows.

It’s a solid home base if you’re doing the Central Coast route and want to stop in the Santa Clara County area without feeling like you’re still in suburbia. The trees and quiet make a real difference after spending time on the highway.
