A camp with a purpose: Combating canine cancer
Wild Blue Dogs is more than just a fun retreat. It’s a mission-driven camp focused on raising funds for canine cancer treatment and research. This DogTrekker favorite, located on a 33-acre beachfront property near Zephyr Cove, Nevada, offers a truly special experience. Participate in various dog-centric camp activities led by certified trainers, including agility, nose work, nutrition, and kayaking. The package comes complete with snacks, meals, beverages, and a doggy swag bag. With a capacity for up to three dogs per person and limited participant numbers, early planning is essential.
Daily activities keep tails wagging from morning to evening. Picture starting your day with a guided beach walk, then moving into agility drills on open fields while your dog navigates tunnels and jumps. Afternoon sessions might include paddleboard lessons on the calm nearshore water or nose work classes that tap into your pup’s natural tracking instincts. Evenings bring group dinners and the kind of relaxed conversation that happens when everyone in the room shares a love for dogs.

Diverse lodging options for campers
Wild Blue Dogs provides a range of lodging options. Campers can opt to stay in on-site summer camp cabins, book a room at the nearby dog-friendly Beach Retreat & Lodge, or choose their own accommodation at local campgrounds, RV parks, hotels, or rental homes. This flexibility ensures a comfortable and convenient stay close to the camp activities. The on-site cabins put you steps from the beach and training fields, while the Beach Retreat offers hotel comforts with easy access to all the action.
