All Concord hotels offer ADA-accessible rooms, while many parks and open-space preserves feature wheelchair-accessible trails. A standout, on a clear day, is the quarter-mile long Mary Bowerman Trail at the summit of 3,849-foot Mount Diablo. It offers accessible parking at the trailhead and leads to a lookout point with awesome panoramic views.
The East Bay Regional Parks District, meanwhile, is rich in accessible trails, starting with dozens and dozens of short loop trails suitable for wheelchairs, strollers or anyone moving slowly.
