All Dogs Area

All Dogs Area is a sprawling off-leash park built on what feels like actual dog-sports grounds rather than a repurposed city lot. The main field is wide open, mostly grass with some packed dirt in the high-traffic zones, and the layout gives dogs room to really move without feeling cramped or chaotic. The separate small-dog enclosure sits to one side, which means tiny dogs aren’t dodging 80-pound retrievers while they’re trying to sniff the perimeter.

Dogs of all sizes run off-leash throughout the fenced acreage. There’s no admission fee. The small-dog area is genuinely useful—it’s fully fenced and sized for dogs under about 25 pounds, though the enforcement is casual and depends on owner judgment. Water stations are scattered around, which matters on inland San Joaquin Valley days when temperatures climb. Shade comes from scattered mature trees, but it’s not abundant, so late afternoon visits are smarter than midday in summer. The park operates sunrise to sunset.

All Dogs Area sits on West Sargent Road a few miles west of Lodi’s main grid. The drive takes you into quieter agricultural territory, which means the park doesn’t pull the weekend crowds you’d see at more central locations. Parking is simple—a dirt lot right at the entrance. The terrain is mostly level, making it accessible for older dogs or those with joint concerns. Weekday mornings tend to be calmer if you’re looking to let your dog play without the chaos of group-play dynamics. Bring your own water or use what’s on-site, and note that this is genuine open country—no nearby coffee shops or shade structures to duck into if you need a break.
