You have to see this replica of a medieval Italian castle to believe it—and thousand of people do, each day. Since it opened in 2007 after 13 years of construction, the “Napa Castle” has become one of the valley’s most popular tourist attractions. With its towers, high walls and sprawling grounds, it’s like stepping back in time. People come to explore the castle and take in the stunning views of Napa Valley. The castle also hosts events throughout the year including weddings, festivals, music performances, and more. Whether you’re a local or just visiting for a day trip, it’s worth the drive to experience Castello di Amorosa.
Building a castle was a long-time goal of fourth-generation winemaker Dario Sattui, whose V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena also welcomes dogs. Read up on the history before you go to get the most out of your visit. Please call or check website for hours, tour options and reservation policies.
Leashed dogs are allowed to tour the Castello with their owner, and are allowed at outside tastings. Please make sure they are reasonably behaved and please bring any necessary supplies for your dog. Please make a reservation before you visit with your dog.
