Citrus Trails Dog Park

Citrus Trails Dog Park

Citrus Trails Dog Park

Loma Linda, California 92373

The Citrus Trails Dog Park sprawls across a generous plot in Redlands with actual grass underfoot—a genuine rarity in San Bernardino County parks where decomposed granite dominates. The property feels open and airy, with scattered trees providing real shade rather than the scorched-earth feel of many inland dog parks. The layout gives you room to throw a ball without worrying your dog will vanish into a corner, and the fencing is sturdy enough that you won’t spend the visit scanning for gaps.

The park separates small dogs (under 25 pounds) into their own area, which matters if you have a nervous or elderly dog. Both sections have water stations with bowls already in place, so you don’t need to carry an extra bucket. Dogs are allowed off-leash throughout the designated fenced areas. The park operates during standard daylight hours, and early morning visits (before 9 a.m. on weekdays) tend to be quieter than weekend afternoons when the place fills up with regulars.

You’ll find Citrus Trails on the east side of town, not far from the Redlands Bowl amphitheater if you’re combining stops. The terrain is mostly flat with a few gentle slopes, so it works for dogs of any age. Bring water for yourself—shade helps but the inland heat here is no joke even in winter. The park can get muddy near the water stations after watering days, so paws might need a rinse before getting back in the car. Cleanup bags are provided at the entrance, though most regulars bring their own.
